Youth Summer Camps

Five days and four nights of adventure, connection and skill building! Campers will learn wilderness survival skills such as fire by friction, animal tracking, toxic and edible wild plant identification, land navigation, shelter building, stalking and movement, and so much more! This will be a truly transformational experience for your child as they grow in confidence and connect with nature in new and profound ways.

Campers will practice self-sufficiency and nature connection while learning earth-based skills to take with them into the future. Our 40-acre campus is located 40 minutes east of Grants Pass. Read more about the land here. Camps are directed by nature educators Adam and Sarah Larue and supported by guest camp leaders and teen mentors.

This is an overnight camp! Both weeks will begin with arrival on Monday morning and conclude on Friday afternoon. Program schedule and gear list will be sent with registration.

CAMP CRAFT // July 1-5

We gather around the campfire to share stories and skills in this week of crafting, carving and cooking. Campers will also practice wilderness awareness and connection through games, storytelling, nature observation and exploration. Campers will practice wood carving, basketry, cordage, and come home with handcrafted projects.

ADVENTURE // July 8-12

Using The Sharpening Stone as a base camp, we will explore the surrounding wilderness while practicing nature awareness, wilderness survival skills, animal tracking, bird language, stalking and movement. We will let nature be our guide as we explore, play and grow during this week together.
