Feast on the Fire
Work Trade Information
Work Trade applications are open
Please read through this entire page before applying to work trade!
We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to offer their time and energy to help us make this event a wonderful experience for all involved.
Work Trade Crew members will still purchase Contributor Tickets
Feast on the Fire is a collectively co-created experience. Almost everyone who attends is contributing their energy or resources in some way. Because of this, we have a different model of registration than The Sharpening Stone Earth Skills Gathering. If you are contributing to the event by teaching, work trading, or bringing food to offer, you will register with a $100 “Contributor Ticket.” Anyone wishing to attend by offering money instead of time or resources (which is also needed to make this event happen) will register with a regular ticket. Because we are asking for this $100 financial contribution from everyone, a full work exchange will be 8-10 hours.
There is a mandatory work trade orientation meeting on Thursday morning, October 15th so please make sure you can arrive on Wednesday evening, October 14th, before you apply for work trade. Work trade agreements will vary but you should generally make sure you can complete work trade tasks through Monday morning, October 19th.
Agreeing to work trade at this gathering is a serious commitment and it is really hard on the whole crew when there are last minute cancellations. Please do not apply if you cannot be sure that you can follow through on your commitment.
Motivated teens ages 16+ can apply for work trade as part of our teen crew. Children younger than age 16 will need youth or teen tickets, even if they are attending with someone who is a member of the work trade crew.
To apply for work trade at the 2026 gathering, copy and paste the application on the right side of this page and send it in an email to us. We will review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis until October 1st. Returning work trade crew members can email us instead of filling out an application. Thank you!
